About Chris – Founder of Value by Design

I'm Chris, founder of Polything and creator of the Momentum Model™, a framework built for messy, founder-led businesses that want marketing and strategy to actually work together.

For years I've been:

  • mentoring founders and SME owners
  • building and fixing value propositions
  • running strategy projects where "we'll do the write up later" turns into weeks of delay

Value by Design is my way of compressing that experience into something repeatable, accessible, and AI-supported, without losing the human bit.

Why Value by Design exists

Every project followed the same pattern:

  • clients struggled to explain what they really do
  • we'd spend hours teasing out customer jobs, pains, and gains
  • writing things up was slow, manual, and hard to repeat

With the right prompts and structure, I realised a lot of this could be systemised. So I started prototyping with people I trust, founders, advisors, creatives, and we tested the process end to end.

Along the way, they told me:

Matt

"It was interesting being involved in a process that was iterative. It helped us resolve issues about understanding what the benefits of our product were and gave us insight into messaging we hadn't considered."

— Matt

Gavin

"It's condensed what would normally be about two weeks of work into roughly two hours, and it's 80–85% of the way there."

— Gavin

What clients notice

Matt

"We knew the output coming out of the Polything assistance programme was going to be just for us, specific to our market."

— Matt

Gavin

"It reels things down to clarity in a very short space of time, with the research to back it up."

— Gavin

Gordon

"I enjoyed it. Very interesting. I'm happy to help again, and I think there's a way this could be deployed with our advisors."

— Gordon

Think faster. Stay human.

My whole aim with Value by Design is simple:

Help you think more clearly, without overwhelming you.

AI does the heavy lifting in the background.

You stay firmly in charge of the decisions.
